An interdisciplinary study of gender, race, ethnicity, and class in U. S. society and cultures. The particular focus of the course will vary widely from semester to semester, emphasizing different issues (i.e., gender, race, ethnicity, immigration, and class), different periods, different disciplines and texts, and different aspects of U. S. society (for example, its social structures, histories, cultures). The course may be repeated for credit if the subject matter is different.
