OROFACIAL ANATOMY, HISTOLOGY AND EMBRYOLOGY

The histology and embryology of oral tissues, gross anatomy of the head and neck, tooth morphology, and individual tooth identification. Emphasis will be placed on clinical considerations of orofacial development and anatomy relevant to dental hygiene assessment and provision of care. The laboratory portion of the course includes experiences with manikins, models, and a virtual reality application.
