Manufacturing Systems Design and Economics

This course will present various tools and techniques necessary to the design, analysis, and implementation of modern manufacturing systems. Topics will include building blocks of manufacturing systems, factory dynamics, and procedures in manufacturing systems design. In addition, the principles of macroeconomics will be used to calculate revenues, cost, profit/loss, and rates of return to compare systems and optimize processes/systems used for manufacturing.
