(ECO 413) Financial Markets and Institutions

The course consists of two parts: the markets and the institutions. The first part will cover individual financial markets. Beginning with a quick review on interest rate and valuation, it will cover almost all major financial markets: the fixed-income market, the money market, the stock market and the mortgage market. The focus on the second part of this course will explore different financial institutions: what they are and how they function.
