CourseKNPT 9100
Pathophysiology is the study of the biological and physical manifestations of disease as they correlate with the underlying abnormalities and physiological disturbances. It explains the processes within the body that result in the signs and symptoms of a disease. A review of the normal physiology of each system will occur to allow students to compare and contrast “diseased” vs. normal functioning. Lastly, pharmacological interventions commonly used to treat diseases will be discussed.
