Introduction to Mechanical Engineering

(1 clock hour lecture period per week). Brief review of mechanical engineering as a practice is reviewed briefly. Students are required to develop a basic engineering project to include: Market outlook, basic production techniques, economic assessment, planning and design, manufacturing, testing, and product evaluation. A final technical report is required. The report includes an oral presentation and documentation in writing.
