(Formerly MTH 202) Applied Differential Equations

An introduction to numerical methods, qualitative behavior of first order differential equations, techniques for solving separable and linear equations analytically, and applications to various models, including populations, motions and chemical mixtures. Also taught are techniques for solving higher order linear differential equations with constant coefficients, including the general theory and the method of undetermined coefficients, reduction of order, and variation of parameters.
