Introduction to Plant Biotechnology

This course is an introduction to biotechnology, including career exploration, historical development and current applications in the areas of agriculture and the environment. The course will present an overview of the techniques and underlying theory of plant tissue culture and genetic engineering, research and commercial applications, and issues/challenges in the area of plant biotechnology.
