WI: Informatics

This is an introductory course to nursing informatics. The history, definitions, and theoretical underpinnings of nursing informatics in the provision of safe, quality, client care will be discussed. Various technologies, informatics processes, and effective communication tools and techniques used in the care of patients, communities, and populations in accordance with professional, best practice, and regulatory standards will also be examined.
