Psychosocial Factors in Occupational Therapy

This course explores the role of the occupational therapy assistant when planning treatments for individuals with various psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Students will understand the impact of trauma and adverse childhood experiences on development and attachment and learn trauma-informed approaches to care for children and adults with a focus on occupational justice, diversity, accessibility, and participation.
