This course presents a comparative approach to infectious disease in humans and animals, while specifically highlighting zoonoses (diseases shared between humans and animals). Students will learn infectious disease epidemiologic concepts, as well as delve into foodborne, vaccine-preventable, sexually transmitted, and vector-transmitted pathogens, as well as common systems-associated infections in both animals and humans.
