TOTAL PARENTERAL NUTRITION (TPN) COMPOUNDING

Training and education in compounding total parenteral nutrition. Students will have didactic coursework and hands-on training in the use of Baxa multi-station TPN base compounder and additive automix compounder. Students will prepare 2:1 and 3:1 TPNs as well as manual draws. Students will learn about the special considerations of TPN therapy, calculations, etc.
