Development and Learning in Middle

An examination of the major human development and learning processes in middle childhood and adolescence. It includes cognitive, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical issues as these relate to student diversity (culture, heritage, SES, gender, race, ethnicity, and the full range of disabilities and exceptionalities). To the extent that development and learning occur in context, the role and impact of the home, school, and community on these processes will also be investigated.
