Orthodox Jews in America

This course sociologically examines the contemporary condition of American Orthodoxy. Particular emphasis is placed on the persistence of traditional Judaism in modern America and the social tensions this engenders. Comparisons between Orthodox and other Jewish sects will be made, as well as between other traditional faiths.
