Sociology of Sport in Modern Society

This is an introductory course devoted to the examination of sport and its relationship to society and social institutions. Emphasis will be given to the effect of social phenomenon on COURSE DESCRIPTIONS, AAMU Undergraduate Bulletin, 2025-2026 ~ 354 ~ sport participation and behavior and how the dynamic nature and diverse parameters of society affect the sport industry. Primary emphasis will be given to sport in American society.
