  • Ability to check addition, subtraction, multiplication or division calculations performed by others and make sure they are correct.
  • Calculates dimensions or tolerances, using instruments, such as micrometers or vernier calipers
  • Demonstrate the ability to check tapers using precision measuring instruments and checking devices including taper gauge, sine bar, micrometer, and vernier to ensure that the accuracy of the angle, taper/foot, and diameter of the cut tapers conform to engineering drawings and job specifications.
  • Ability to read measuring devices such as digital and analog gauges, micrometers, rulers, tape measure, and homemade measuring devices as needed to obtain water levels for depth calculations, to determine the amount of substructure deficiencies, and set benchmark or calibration points in order to establish a reference standard.
  • Ability to read Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Dial Indicators & other precision measuring & test equipment as required
