The ACS Certified Cheese Professional® Exam encourages improved standards of comprehensive cheese knowledge and service, offering professionals in the cheese industry the opportunity to earn the distinguished title of ACS Certified Cheese Professional®, or ACS CCP®. The letters ACS CCP® designate that an individual has acquired thorough knowledge and the level of expertise that is demanded within the cheese industry. Review the dates, deadlines, and fees for the CCP® Exam. Review the eligibility criteria for the CCP® Exam. Decide how you will take the exam. We will offer three options: In person, prior to the ACS Conference in Louisville, KY Virtually on your own device, using live remote proctoring At a Prometric testing center, part of Prometric’s global network of secure test sites Prepare a resume (word doc or pdf) with your cheese work experience and cheese education experience. You will need to upload this when you submit the online application form. Decide if you are paying for the application fee yourself, or if your employer is paying it for you and you need an invoice (further instructions for each option will be in the application form) NOTE: If you are applying for a scholarship that includes coverage of the Certification exam fees, please email certification@cheesesociety.org to receive a code to use during the application process. This code will allow you to complete the application without payment. If you do not receive a scholarship, we will then reach out to you the first week of April with an invoice for payment. You will need to pay the invoice by May 1, 2026 to be able to take the exam. Apply to take the exam Have questions? Refer to this pdf: Step by Step Instructions Once submitted, your application will be reviewed, and either approved or denied. (Occasionally, we may need to contact you for more details about your work experience.) We will inform you of our decision within 30 days, via email. If approved, we will provide you with information next steps.
