The Accounting Technician Occupational Skills Award recognizes attainment of basic skills necessary for employment in the accounting area. All courses may be applied toward the Accounting Technician Full Charge Bookkeeper Associate of Applied Science degree. Note from the Texas Board of Public Accountancy: You can only refer to yourself as a CPA, accountant or auditor if you are a licensed CPA in the state of Texas. See Section 901.453 of The Public Accountancy Act.
