The American Sign Language Studies Level 1 Certificate includes six SGNL courses on ASL I through ASL IV, Introduction to the Deaf Community, and Visual/Gestural Communication. It provides a thorough knowledge of ASL and is designed for students in other majors (e.g. Pharmacy Technician) who might use ASL to communicate as part of their job. This certificate can be applied towards the Interpreter Training Associate of Applied Science degree.
