The concentration in Egyptology and Assyriology offers students a choice of two tracks: Assyriology or Egyptology. The department explores the histories, languages, cultures and sciences of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and their neighbors, and promotes collaborations with other academic units at Brown devoted to the study of antiquity. All concentrators are required to complete a capstone project culminating in a public presentation.
