The course invites students to explore the techniques needed to develop a story idea from its inception through its completion as an animated project. Animation I presents the phases of pre-production, production, and post-production as well as traditional, stop motion, 2D, 3D, and motion graphics.

Animation I introduces the fundamentals, history, and culture of animation, which tells stories through motion. The course invites students to explore the techniques needed to develop a story idea from its inception through its completion as an animated project. Animation I presents the phases of pre-production, production, and post-production as well as traditional, stop motion, 2D, 3D, and motion graphics. The course also requires students to analyze and evaluate examples of professional animation. Career and Technical Student Organizations are integral, co-curricular components of each career and technical education course. These organizations enhance classroom instruction while helping students develop leadership abilities, expand workplace-readiness skills, and access opportunities for personal and professional growth. Students in the Arts, A-V Technology, and Communications cluster affiliate with SkillsUSA.
