Detailed information about this program

Entrepreneurship and Financial Skills Development is designed to teach students how to think and act as entrepreneurs. Standards in this course focus on skills needed to start and operate a business while in school. Students who manage and operate a small business may have the opportunity to bring their products directly to the consumer via the local marketplace or present the venture to potential investors for financing. Concepts and skills are reinforced by a strong emphasis on hands-on experiences. Applications to society, individuals, and research are included. Entrepreneurship and Financial Skills Development may be offered as a component of a course rotation allowing students to explore different areas of interest. All content standards must be addressed regardless of the duration of the course. The depth of the content standards will be determined by the course duration.
