Human Lifespan Development focuses on making decisions, building relationships, and managing the demands of adult life. Topics of study cover finance, housing, nutrition, parenting, and communication through the stages of development. Standards in this course are designed to equip students with the skills necessary to cope with major life changes and to assist others as they face these changes. Career and Technical Student Organizations are integral, co-curricular components of each career and technical education course. These organizations enhance classroom instruction while helping students develop leadership abilities, expand workplace-readiness skills, and access opportunities for personal and professional growth. Students in the Human Services cluster affiliate with Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).
