The course emphasizes emergency preparedness, basic first aid, fire management services, legal services, and corrections and law enforcement services. FEMA Independent Study Courses 100, 200, 700, and 800, which are included in this course, are prerequisites for Hazardous Materials and Weapons of Mass Destruction CRI (NFPA 1072).
