Sports, Recreation, and Attractions Management I introduces the knowledge and skills related to managing clients, providing products and services, and overseeing facilities in the evolving sports, recreation, and attractions industries. The concepts addressed in this course include management of venues and events; branding, advertising, public relations, and event marketing; types of business ownership; management styles; the impact of public image; and the importance of professionalism. Career and Technical Student Organizations are integral, co-curricular components of each career and technical education course. These organizations enhance classroom instruction while helping students develop leadership abilities, expand workplace-readiness skills, and access opportunities for personal and professional growth. Students in the Hospitality and Tourism cluster affiliate with FCCLA.
