Medical Assisting

The Medical Assisting short certificate requires students to complete thirty (30) semester hours, of which twenty-nine (29) are in medical assisting coursework. This program prepares students for careers in the healthcare field by offering courses in both the clinical and administrative functions of a physician’s office. Before completing the medical assisting short certificate, students must complete two hundred twenty-five (225) hours of practicum in a medical setting.
