French and Francophone Studies

French & Francophone Studies majors communicate effectively in French using all four linguistic skills; read, discuss, and analyze a range of texts in French from different disciplines and media; and explain the complex history of the French empire and the development of the Francophone world. The major requires a minimum of 10 courses beyond FREN 102, including a research seminar. The degree requires 32 courses (not semester credit hours).
