Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies

Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies majors analyze how evolving gender and sexuality norms intersect with shifting racial, ethnic, classed, and geopolitical systems of power and marginalization, and articulate how queer activism and feminisms operate as social movements, analytical frames, and political identities. Students conduct intersectional research that applies interdisciplinary methods. The major consists of 10 courses. The degree requires 32 courses (not semester credit hours).
