The Department of Social Sciences provides a wide variety of courses in psychology and the other social sciences, sharing the belief that human behavior, culture, and society can and should be studied using the methods of science. The Bachelor of Science in Psychology includes a 63-hour major covering lifespan development, abnormal, social, and multicultural psychology, research methods, and restricted electives, supporting careers in clinical, developmental, and forensic psychology.
