Haverford College
The English Department offers courses in the literary traditions of the English-speaking world, in which students expand their ability to respond to texts thoughtfully and critically and to articulate those responses in clear and fluent English. The department aims to develop cultural and media literacy by introducing students to the range of literary traditions, broadly conceived, in the English language. The degree requires 32 course credits, equal to 128 semester hours.
