Occupational Therapy Assistant

Upon graduating from the occupational therapy assistant program, students are awarded an associate degree in sciences. This degree allows the graduate to sit for the national certification exam for occupational therapy assistants provided by the National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapy. A graduate cannot receive a permanent license to practice occupational therapy in the state of Iowa without graduating from an accredited program and passing the national certification exam.
