The Child Development AAS prepares students for careers working with young children in childcare centers, preschools, and early learning programs. The 67-70 credit-hour program covers early childhood education principles, child growth and development, creative experiences, language development, teaching methods, program planning, health and safety, parenting skills, and supervised practical experience. Designed for students entering the workforce upon completion rather than transferring.
