Emergency Medical Services Technician - Basic

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic Short Certificate is a 10-credit-hour program designed to prepare individuals to provide basic health care assistance at the scene of an illness or traumatic injury. Classes are offered day and evening; the Basic Level can be completed in one semester. Graduates are eligible to take the National Registry of EMT Basic Examination. Many graduates are employed by Birmingham Fire and Rescue and Ambulance Service. Approved by Alabama agencies.
