The Nursing Assistant Short Certificate prepares a person to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse and give direct client care in the home or in a variety of health care settings. Successful completion allows eligibility to write the State Nursing Assistant Certification Examination. The Long Term Care Nursing Assistant course (4 credits) fulfills the seventy-five (75) hour OBRA requirements. Course is offered twice a semester in the mini-terms.
