Elementary Education (Kindergarten – Grade 6)

The Elementary Education program provides prospective elementary teachers with an understanding of the diverse roles of elementary teachers and knowledge of the history, philosophy, theories, and principles that lead to modern elementary education. Candidates gain sensitivity to the attitudes, emotions, cultural heritage, and special needs of all children and opportunities to plan and implement developmentally appropriate practices with children in grades K through 6.
