French courses in language, literature, and culture are designed to provide opportunities for students to achieve aural, oral, reading and writing proficiency in the language, with an integral in-depth exposure to French culture and civilization through study abroad. French and Francophone Studies majors complete a minimum of 120 credits to earn a bachelor's degree, including 41-44 credits of core courses and 33 credits (11 courses) in their major.
