The major objective of the History program is to give students an understanding of how our civilization has progressed and how the major western traditions have developed. A History Major prepares students for careers in law, public administration, museums, and teaching, among other careers. Students learn how to analyze problems, study historical evidence and construct an argument, and write clearly and forcefully.
