Becoming a Patient Care Technician (PCT) is similar to becoming a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA), but the program then goes on to introduce skills such as the electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), basic First Aid, and blood draws.
