Introduction to Applied Chinese Linguistics

CHIN 317 and 318 may be taken in either order. An introduction to topics in applied Chinese linguistics including sociolinguistics, dialects, stylistics, language variation and change, and history of Chinese. The language of instruction is Chinese. Readings and assignments will be in English and Chinese.
