The Economy of Greece

This course will focus on the postwar structure and performance of the Greek economy. An examination of overall growth as well as growth of the agricultural, industrial, and service sectors will be pursued, taking into account the private- versus-public sector dichotomy. Special consideration will be given to external economic relations of Greece, its membership in the EEC, and balance of payments problems.
