Introduction to Japanese Linguistics

An introduction to general linguistics in Japanese including Japanese orthographies, phonetics, phonology and morphology. Analysis of the Japanese language from the linguistic perspective through reading and examining original Japanese language data in order to build the fundamental understanding of linguistic concepts and enhance the knowledge of Japanese language. Readings and assignments will be in Japanese and English.
