Elementary ordinary differential equations and their solutions; series solutions of ordinary differential equations; linear algebra concepts covering systems of linear equations, matrices, determinants and eigenvalue problems; applications of the above topics in materials sciences and engineering. Only one of the following will satisfy the requirements for a degree: MATH 307 or MATH 308; MATH 304, MATH 307, MATH 309, MATH 311, or MATH 323.
